Our goal at Nicholas Restaurant is to offer our guests a different dining experience that uses only the freshest ingredients, sourced from local farmer’s right here in Oregon. We never buy pre-made food from a truck. We make everything fresh ourselves, on-site. No Preservatives: Our food, veggies, meats, dairy, dough and fillings are made without preservatives. Nothing artificial.
Nicholas Restaurant does not have a separate facility to prepare gluten free foods, but the knowledgeable staff do everything they can to prevent cross-contamination, including using different utensils and keeping gluten-free stations clear of wheat contaminants. We have a pretty extensive menu, including a dessert menu offering a gluten-free chocolate tahini Turkish coffee cake. We offer gluten-free pita bread as well.
We have two convenient locations in Portland and one location in the heart of downtown Gresham. There is not a separate gluten-free menu because 90 percent of our food is already made gluten-free and labeled by each menu item. A favorite gluten-free dish is our chicken or lamb kabobs with our jasmine saffron rice.
