Gluten-free PDX Round Up 3/11/16

gluten-free PDXPlease let me know via our contact form if you have any gluten-free news or events you’d like us to consider sharing!

News  & Interest Round Up

Innovate Biopharmaceuticals Completes License For Late-Stage Celiac Disease Asset From Alba Therapeutics. This medication appears to affect junctions in the gut. Very interesting. Would you take a medication that would allow you to eat gluten?

Simple method to determine prevalence of celiac disease in children aged 2-4. It appears to be  simple finger prick.

Why You Need to Snack and Why You Don’t! A little piece from my blog. With snack ideas!

Just found this little piece in the Huff Post shouting out our PDX GF scene. Woot!

RecipesIMG_1011-1-1024x1024-1

Gluten-free, Vegan Walnut & Goji Berry Saute. From my blog.

My friend GFJules has an easter recipe round up on her site. You can make a lamb cake (no, not the meat, the shape- and sadly you need a lamb mold to do this…but there are a number of more simple options.) 🙂

 Events

PDX (GIG) Gluten Intolerance Group Monthly Meeting. Ongoing Gluten-free Support group.

Gluten-free Food Allergy Fest. October 1-2, 2016. by Gluten-free & More Magazine. I usually present at this expo, not sure yet about this year, but it’s always a great showing. And this year will be at the expo center instead of near the airport!

Yours in Health,
